We were to make our own beverage station with our own personal style and touches. Well, today is the reveal! My farmhouse style beverage station is just about of my my most favorite projects to date!
My Farmhouse Beverage Station
Of course I was going to go for the farmhouse look. I am slightly obsessed with the calm and serene feeling I get from the farmhouse style. I need it more in my life now than ever before.
I started with the basic tutorial and built the beverage station accordingly.
It was really quite easy to make. Once I had this part done, I wanted to add a few touches that made it more my style. I painted it white to begin with. I know white. I cannot help it, its my favorite. I then added a small piece of trim to the top edge of the tabletop. I wanted a little more definition and character there. Finally I drilled two holes into the side of the beverage station.
I then screwed in some eye hooks.
Once they were screwed in, I ran a dowel through both hooks. And viola! A towel rack!
I thought it would be a fun way to add a towel rack without being to obvious.
I also glued some jute rope to the bucket to give it a little something.
Lastly, I added was some caster wheels. I wanted this baby to be able to be mobile.
I love the crisp white with the touches of metal, rope and wood. It has a touch of industrial style, don’t you think?
Now, did you know you can make one of these yourself? Home Depot offers workshops at all of their locations for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels.
