Simple Outdoor Fall Table Decor Ideas
There are so many things to look forward to when the weather begins to cool and the leaves begin to change. The fall season is undoubtedly my favorite time of year. The crisp mornings, the long shadows, and the feel you get when autumn hits. It all makes me relish the days. One thing I love to do during the fall is enjoy outdoor dining. When the weather is still warm in the afternoon and slightly cool in the evening, its the perfect time to eat outdoors. Today I want to share some fall table decor that will get you in the mood as well! I am sharing this post with some of my most favorite bloggers! Make sure to check out their outdoor fall decor ideas at the end of this post! We recently remodeled our back patio, extending it, adding more space to enjoy the outdoors. I might be partial but I think I have the best view, and I am surrounded by lush farm fields and Bryce Canyon National Park in the distance. The change in seasons only adds more beauty to these places, and I get to enjoy it everyday. When we created our new patio, we added on enough space to create a larger dining space that looked out onto the fields as well as Bryce Canyon. I was so excited to have our first outdoor dining experience in this spot. We put our outdoor dining table up and I got to work creating something fun and relaxing for the family. I think when I set a table, a fall table is my most favorite. There are so many fall table centerpiece options, from floral arrangements, white pumpkins, mini pumpkins, pine cones, candlesticks, fall leaves, votive candles, pillar candles and so much more.
I want to share some of my easy fall table decor ideas with you and show you that it doesn’t take much to create something beautiful.

For my centerpiece, I chose to use some new black candlesticks that I got at Ikea. Ikea is always so great for items like this. In addition to the candlesticks, I added some of my home grown pumpkins, as well as some fall leaves from my tree. I added the candlesticks first, and then added the pumpkins in between the candlesticks. It is s a simple centerpiece, but I like that because I want to make sure there is room for to food! Thats an important element when you are outdoor dining!

Recently I got a new set of dishes, and I have been so excited to use them. These gorgeous black dishes with gold trim are so perfect for fall. It was time for a whole revamp, so I got some new gold silverware as well. I topped it off with some pretty new rose colored glasses as well.
I love a layered table setting. With the added touch of some maroon striped cloth napkins, the whole table comes together. The color palette for the table is exactly what I was looking for. I am usually someone who loves the white plates and all the white accessories, but I have wanted a moody feel this fall, and the table decorations reflect that. The little pumpkins are dotted around the table, all around. I added my enamel dutch oven, which was full of my favorite potato, sausage and kale soup along with some fresh sourdough focaccia bread. The warm colors of the table decor evoke a sense of harmony and calm for me. I wanted a beautiful table and that is what I got. The background was just a bonus for me. The gold accents from the silverware and the dinnerware add so much warmth to the table. I love real pumpkins and using them in a fall tablescape is a no brainer. The moody table linens go perfectly with the rest of the table and soften the table setting.
A couple tips to creating a table perfect for you:
- Add varying heights of candle holders
- Use artificial flowers or fall leaves to add color and texture to your table
- Add a large pumpkin or two to anchor the centerpiece
- If you are planning a dinner party with guests, add cute place cards to the tops of the plates.
- Add a table runner to anchor the table
- Add a glass vase full of pebbles or twinkle lights…. or add a pillar candle to them to add some ambiance to the table
- Go bright and bold or go with neutral colors. Choose what makes your heart happy.
- If the weather is chilly, add a propane heater to the space or build a small fire to keep the chill off.
- Add a hurricane vase to the center of the table
