Make A Quick And Easy Craft Paper Holder
Alright guys and gals, this post today is my Day 4 post of my office to art studio post as well. As it has hit a few roadblocks that has slowed it down, I needed to create something to fill the emptiness I was feeling from not accomplishing my tasks at hand. So, today I have brought you an amazingly easy and simple project. A quick and easy craft paper roll.
Now I don’t believe I am beating a dead horse here. I had originally posted an article on how to build a nice craft paper roll holder out of wood, which was much more substantial, and you can see that here. This project I am showing you today is something anyone can do. I promise…anyone..can…do. You only need three items for this project. No joke. You will need:

One wooden dowel-1/2 inch should be sufficient
Jute Rope or ribbon
I was in my office/soon to be art studio filling a crack in the concrete, scrubbing and cleaning when I got a bit fed up. I decided I wanted to create something. I find that often times when I am in a jam, or stuck on a project, that taking a step back and working on something else usually straightens a few things out. So off I went to my cavern of lovely supplies. Out I came with a dowel and a craft paper roll. Yes, I had a stash of these things. When I had built my original roll holder, I ordered a rather large roll of paper. I ended up rolling about 1/3 of the paper onto another dowel. It was just too large of a roll originally.
So, once my paper was centered on the dowel, I took my ribbon and tied one end of the dowel, next to the paper. I actually used ribbon I bought at the Target dollar spot at Christmas time. I was actually out of my jute rope and couldn’t go out and get some more at that moment. Be resourceful.
I then added a little slack to the ribbon and tied the other end of ribbon onto the other side of the paper roll. Once both sides were secure, I hung it on a nail that I had previously nailed into the wall.
And that is it! I unrolled the paper a bit and went to town drawing. Just Believe. This is something I have been telling myself often these days. This blog had been an amazing experience and I love every minute of it…okay, maybe not the late night photo edits…but really they aren’t that bad. I have been working so hard and I am so very grateful to all of you who stop by and read my posts. I have some really exciting possibilities that I am working on, and even when it gets overwhelming, I remind myself to just believe. I believe that my dreams will become a reality. But, I really need to learn to enjoy the ride.
For those of you who may not be interested or maybe have access to supplies and tools to build a mount like the original one I built, this one is such a great alternative. I am really quite in love with this new little addition to my office/art studio. It is actually the first addition.
I hope you will try this out. I cannot express how easy this is. I promise.
Have a great day!
