Late Summer Fruit Salad Recipe
Summer Fruit Salad
Ingredients
- 4-6 cups Assorted Fruits I like to use strawberries, blueberries, peaches, pineapple, apples, bananas, blackberries. Anything in season is perfect.
- Juice and zest of 1 lime
- 1-2 tbsp honey This depends on how sweet you want the dressing
- 1 tbsp chopped basil or mint You can add more if you choose
Instructions
- This fruit salad is easy to make and easy to change up depending on what fruits you prefer.
- I like to use fruits that are in season so depending on what season you are in, the fruit options may change. Since this is a late fruit summer salad, there are a lot of options. Cut your fruits up and put them all in a large bowl.
- MIx the lime juice and honey together in a small bowl and pour it over the top of your fruit. Add your chopped basil and mint and mix the entire thing together. You dont need a lot of dressing as the dressing will draw out the juices in the fruit and make it more juicy.
- I dont recommend making more than you plan to eat as it will start to wilt especially if you use bananas and apples, you will have browning of the fruit. I would recommend making this 15 minutes before serving.
- You can store leftovers in the fridge but try to eat it within a day.
