Easy to Make Pumpkin Vinyl Decals for Effortless Fall Decor

Hey friends! Its been a busy week here once again and today we are talking all about decorating with pumpkins! I have joined a handful of my favorite bloggers once again to share our take on decorating with pumpkins this year and you can see their ideas at the bottom of this post! I want to share with you how to make cute fall pumpkins using handmade pumpkin vinyl decals with my Cricut Maker!

There are so many ways to decorate with pumpkins and unique ways to use them around your home. I feel like I tend to lean more towards using my pumpkins traditionally, letting them be the star of the show, but I find it fun to change it up and use them in unique ways.

At the beginning of the year, I was able to get a Cricut Maker and since then, I have been using it for so many fun projects! I love using it for custom shirts, making signs and even making custom hats! They can do so much.

So, today I want to share how I used my Cricut Maker to create vinyl decals to put on your pumpkins!

Tips to using vinyl decals on pumpkins:

Now you may wonder if it’s really that easy? Well, yes, actually it was! The only challenge was forming the letters to the curves of the pumpkin. But, you can easily cut your decal into a few smaller pieces so that you can adjust for that kind of thing.

Another tip, make sure that your pumpkins are clean and dry. The decals will not stick as well if the pumpkin is dirty or wet.

I tried this same process with a painted pumpkin and the transfer tape took the paint right off the pumpkin so, if you decide to use a painted pumpkin, use a fake pumpkin that will hold the paint well.
