Super Sweet Valentines Day Cupcake Toppers Using My Cricut Maker
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.
Hey friends! Hope you are having a great beginning to your February. I am so excited for February for many reasons, and one of them is for all the sweet treats we get for Valentines Day! I will admit, I have never been a big fan of Valentines Day, but I do love all the yummy treats that can be made, as well as the excitement my kids have for the holiday. They are always begging for cute Valentines bakes treats and I have some super cute cupcakes with Valentines cupcake toppers that I made using my Cricut Maker and my debossing tool. Its such a fun and easy project, let me show you!
This project it quite easy, mainly because I am using the Cricut Maker to do all the work! Gosh, I am really loving that machine. It makes creating so much easier and so much more fun!
I created some cute Valentines cupcake toppers using my Cricut maker and you can make the exact same ones! Click here to customize or simply make the same ones! Not only do you get the cute cupcake toppers, but you will get the cupcake wrappers as well! You can choose the material to use, and if you use cute pastel colors, they will look like conversation hearts!
To make these Valentines cupcake toppers you will need to have the debossing tool for the the Cricut Maker. This has been the most fun tool. Its very affordable, and you can imprint letters, designs and so much more into leather, kraft board, and more!
Use the Debossing Tip to create depressions in a variety of materials and to add dimension and flair to your projects! Make a dimensional wedding card, thank you card with your monogram, or add flourish to gift boxes, tags, and more. It creates a stunning effect on foil cardstock, coated paper, shimmer and glitter paper, foil cardstock, basswood, and much more.
Here is what I used to make these Valentines cupcake toppers:
- Cricut Maker
- Debossing tool
- Fine point blade tool
- foil kraft board by Cricut
- tooth picks
- cardstock for the cupcake wrappers

This is really straightforward. All you have to do is click here to get the design on your Cricut Design Space.
You can customize the Valentines hearts, using different quotes for the toppers.
Either way, once you are ready, you need to load your material, I used holographic red kraft board. I loaded mine into the Cricut Maker and followed the prompts on Design Space which told me to load the debossing tool.
Once the machine is done debossing it will ask you to replace the debossing tool with the fine point blade.
It will then continue to cut the hearts and you will then be ready to make your cupcake toppers.
All you need to do now is to hot glue a tooth pick to the backs of the hearts. You can glue two hearts back to back if you want it to look good from all sides.
I continued and made the cupcake wrappers and used a simple cream card stock that matched the color of my cupcake frosting.
I love things simple and classic. So of course I kept the materials and design simple. I can’t help myself. It is what I love.
These have a definitely conversation hearts style to them, and I wanted to step outside those lines and create something with similar style but something that is my own.
My kids absolutely freaked over these. Well, my daughter, the one who is obsessed with all things pretty, girly, and something with all the hearts.
Hug me, XOXO, Say Yes.
Make sure to pin these super cute cupcake toppers for later and share them with your friends!
