How To Stencil A Concrete Floor

Today we are going to talk about concrete painting and how easy it can be to transform a floor with the use of stencils and more.

Fill in any cracks with a concrete filler and let it dry. Once dry, sand the entire surface.

Prep Your Floor

I used a cardboard box to make mine. I drew up what I wanted and measured each side so that it was even.

Make Your Stencil

Using a smaller paintbrush, I painted a full coat onto the pattern and then once it was dry, I added a second coat. I wanted good coverage, but not 100 solid.

Begin Stenciling

I then focused on the areas closest to the walls. I cut my stencil in half and cut those into pieces. I used the pieces I needed to paint right up against the walls.

Stencil Against Walls

I painted on the sealer with a paint roller. How many coats is up to you. I personally did three coats of sealer. This brought out a deeper color to the floors.

Seal the Floor

I love these floors! They have lasted me several years without showing any wear.
