Gorgeous Winter Door Wreath Tutorial

You know what I love more than wreaths? Making them myself. Today I want to show you how to make a gorgeous winter wreath that will take you all the way from Thanksgiving into the new year.

– Grapevine Wreath – Evergreen Foliage – Pine Cones – Eucalyptus – Other Faux Foliage – Floral Wire – Hot Glue Gun – Wire Cutters

What I Used...

I chose a grapevine wreath. I use this kind of wreath form often. The natural element works well with many styles and it looks great when its on its own as well.

Choose a Base

The first thing I do is lay out all the items. Then I do a dry run, placing things on the wreath form. The goal is to brainstorm. Explore and experiment with your items.

Planning the Wreath

The process is simple. Add a couple items, secure them. Stop, step back and assess the wreath. Now, slowly add a couple more pieces, being aware of where you need balance.

Build Your Wreath

It was important to take my time and add small pieces at a time. Try hanging it up on a hook so you can see how it will look once it is hung.

Take Your Time

DIY wreaths are my jam. There is some trial and error when you begin making your own wreaths but once you learn the basics, its a piece of cake, and actually quite relaxing in my opinion.
