Quick and Easy Peaches and Cream Dessert
I want to share an amazingly quick and easy dessert to make with those bountiful peaches! This quick and easy peaches and cream dessert is the perfect late summer treat. There is nothing better than fresh peaches. We have worked really hard on cultivating a backyard full of fruit trees. We have 4 peach trees and some years we have tons of peaches.
One of our favorite ways to enjoy fresh peaches is simple. Sliced fresh peaches with milk or cream and a tiny bit of pure maple syrup. This is a must have when we are drowning in fresh peaches from our trees.
This dessert is similar but slightly elevated. It is something you can serve guests. It is a light anf flavorful peach treat. There is no need to bake anything. The sweet sliced peaches with the whipped cream mixture is on another level.
TOOLS YOU’LL NEED
The cream mixture is simple, using heavy cream, vanilla, powdered sugar and cream cheese. The cream cheese helps to stabilize the whipped cream while adding a touch of that creamy goodness you get from cream cheese.
I like to top the dessert with granola or graham cracker crumbs. Its a nice crunch on top of the peach treat. The cream cheese layer goes so perfectly with the peaches, cutting through the tart acidic fruit.
This dessert takes minutes to make. I like to drizzle my peaches with a pure maple syrup but you could also use honey.
Quick and Easy Peaches and Cream Dessert
Ingredients
- 4-6 large peaches peeled and sliced
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Cream Recipe
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2-3 tbsp powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp softened cream cheese
Instructions
- Peel and slice your peaches, add the maple syrup and lemon juice and set aside.
- In a large bowl mix your whipping cream and vanilla until the cream begins to thicken. Add the powdered sugar and continue to whisk until it forms stiff peaks. Do not over mix, or you will have butter.
- In a medium bowl mix the softened cream cheese until it is fully whipped up. Fold a small amount of the whipped cream into the cream cheese and then take the cream cheese mixture and add it to the whipped cream. Fold it in until the cream cheese mixture is fully combined with the whipped cream.
- Place some of the peaches in a bowl or serving dish. Top with some of the cream, then add another layer of peaches and another layer of cream. Add as much as your heart wants.
- You can top with granola, crushed cookies or some fresh basil. Its an amazingly quick and easy peach dessert!
